My favorite words are “Why?” and “Because.” In every situation, I want to find the truth and act on it to serve your interests. That’s why I love listening, research, and writing: they are the three best ways I’ve found to formulate my question and build a “because” answer to guide smart action. My approach in planning with you is to listen actively. I will let you talk, and I will ask questions to help you discern what you want, why you want it, and which legal means best fit your end.

This is always my approach. Ask my kids or husband—they’ll agree that whether I’m studying for school, preparing to teach, tackling a new client scenario or digging into a question related to a hobby (gardening, cooking, child-rearing), I’m asking questions and listening for answers. My husband and I have lived abroad, moved across country, reached the teen years in our parenting, served in numerous volunteer roles, and tried just about every educational approach possible with our kids. Q&A has served me well. I’ll gladly put my fascination with questions and answers to work for you.
